Last plane, D for Derby shot down during Vegesack mission Aug 1942.

1943 Mission Notes:

Mission 1 - AAR
Mission 2 - AAR
Mission 4 - AAR
Mission 5 - AAR
Mission 6 - AAR
Mission 7 - The only enemy aircraft contacts were made in the target zone, shooting down one of the two. Only damage to L-Lincoln came from flak. Repairable in one day. Despite the target being completely obscured, H2S radar got us on target, for 40% accuracy.
Mission 8 -- Crossing into France, surprised by an ME110F4, attacking from 6 O'clock low, which scored ten hits on L-Lincoln. One shell punctured the port outboard fuel tank, starting a fire, which could not be extinguished. Entire crew bailed out successfully. Only the Pilot was able to be retrieved by the Underground, for repatriation to England.
