Previous Aircraft: Mad Maggie lost on Sassnitz mission; Wild Wingnut lost on Hanau mission;
Mission 12 - Not sure what all the fuss is about. Ran into a spot of bother with flak on the way home but nothing and no one hurt. Never saw hide nor hair of Jerry fighters.
Mission 13 - Didn't see hide nor hair of Jerry. Flak missed us entirely. Target was completely obscured so I don't think we hit much but every little bit counts eh wot?
Mission 14 - Short hop tonight. Heavy ack ack over the target but got through with some light peppering, no substantive damage. An ME-110 went blasting by us after we had dropped our bombs. I think he was as shocked to see us as we him. If he tried to reengage we never saw him. Landed safely. No bother this one.
Mission 15 - Prosecuted by well-handled HE-219 AO. Bomb bays jammed. Bomb aimer KIA. Heat out in pilot's compartment. Aborted in Zone 5 and returned safely.
