Previous aircraft London Calling lost on Sterkrade mission. London Calling II lost on Wanne-Eickel mission. Lionheart lost on Hanau mission. Lionheart II lost on Osnabruck mission.
Mission Reports -
Mission 13 - Encounter heavy flak over target but no damage, minor collision with friendly plane. Minor damage to tail wheel. Landed without a problem.
Mission 14 - Flight out to target was good, no encounters and was able to bomb without interference. Upon returning to base, a Ju 88 C-6 attacked twice doing some light damage to the port wing and rear centre section. NF lost contact and we were able to return to base.
Mission 15 - All was well after takeoff, but then after crossing into the Netherlands it was attacked by a D0-17 in multiple Schrage Musik attacks. Two walking hits and multiple other hits ripped the plane apart and killed the pilot, flight engineer and tail gunner. Plane went down with no parachutes spotted.
